At St Thomas’ Church Nursery, we are committed to providing a loving, safe, and stimulating environment for your children, allowing them to achieve their full potential. Within our setting, children flourish; developing greater independence and establishing happy and healthy relationships with friends. We have been graded ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted three times in succession. You can read our full report here, but these are some of the things our inspector had to say:

What provision does STC Nursery offer?
Flexible term time care for children aged 2 years 8 months to 5 years.
Highly qualified and experienced staff.
Free sessions available using both 15 and 30 hour funding.
Superb outdoor learning environment with mud kitchen, water pump, large sand pit, vegetable garden and pebble play area.
A range of visitors to Nursery to enhance children's learning experience and occasional trips.
Outstanding support for children with additional needs.
What sessions do we run?
Monday and Friday 9am-12pm, with an optional lunch extension to 1pm.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, or a full day option from 9am-3pm.
Funding and Fees
We are registered to claim Funded Early Learning and the Working Parent Entitlement for children from 2 years 8 months as well as 3 and 4 year olds.
All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours of free childcare per week up to a maximum of 570 hours per year. This also means that working families of 2,3 and 4 year olds may be entitled to 30 hours free childcare per week, up to a maximum of 1140 hours per year. Other 2 year olds may also be eligible for up to 15 hours of childcare.

Any additional hours are charged for at a rate of £6.50 per hour.
We ask for a voluntary contribution each term which covers snack (50p per morning session), food technology and baking (£3 per time) and various special activities and events such as parties/entertainer etc. - cost as appropriate. All bills are itemised and tailored individually for the hours each child attends. Parents have the right not to pay this but then to provide the consumables their child would need at nursery including snack.
