Accessibility
We believe that we are called to love each other and that everyone has a place within our church family. In September 2024, accessibility charity Growing Hope awarded us their ‘silver award’. We want everyone to feel welcome, seen and heard. We strive to make STC accessible for everyone:
Building access
We provide a ramped entrance for wheelchair users and a lift to higher level rooms.
During our gatherings
Our welcome team will greet you as you arrive and guide you to our resources.
We provide sensory/fidget aids for you to pick up and use during the gatherings if you need them.
We provide flexible seating areas and a quiet area for those who find the gathering too busy or noisy.
Children and young people
All of our kids and youth groups provide a range of multi-sensory activities, visual schedules and sensory aids so that everyone can participate.
We use ‘about me’ forms to help meet as many needs as possible.
If you would like to speak to one of our Accessibility Coordinators ahead of visiting, please contact hello@stcsheffield.org in the first instance. They will put you in touch with the best person to meet your needs.
