How should I read the Bible?

We believe that the Bible is God’s written Word; that it is God-breathed, life-changing, ever-relevant truth. However, it can be daunting to simply pick up a Bible and start reading.

Start somewhere

A great place to begin is with the Gospel of Mark. It’s an eye-witness account of Jesus’ life. After Mark, Matthew, Luke and John are a good way to continue reading.

Keep going!

Jesus said that “we shouldn't live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” The Bible can be that daily nourishment that helps us remember that we are loved by God, he has good plans for us and he longs to for us to invite him into every moment.

How should I pray?

Prayer is one of the most beautiful things about knowing God. It’s a continual, life-long conversation with talking and listening. You can do it anywhere, anytime, anyplace.

Prayer is wonderfully simple, yet incredibly profound. Could you start praying today?

Keep it simple

Jesus says that when we pray, we don’t need to try and impress people with our words or articulate prayers. God knows what’s on our hearts and hears us regardless of how we say it!

Keep it often

Remember you’re speaking to and hearing from the Creator of the universe; infinitely vast and intimately near. What a privilege! God longs to be with, to speak to us and lead us in our everyday, ordinary lives. Keep in touch with him!
