Prayer Week 18th-24th May
Our vision as a church is to be 'For the City' and to seek its peace and prosperity.
A key part of this is seeing the revitalisation of the church in Sheffield, and one way we do this is by starting new churches, as well as partnering with existing worshipping communities to make this happen.
We’re setting aside another Prayer Week this year, focusing on joining our church plants and grafts in prayer for Sheffield.
Here's how you can get involved and join us in prayer across this week:
Tuesday, 10am |Meeting at Fir Vale Community Hub(127 Page Hall Rd, Sheffield S4 8GU) to prayer walk across Fir Vale.
Wednesday Daytime: 7am, 9am, 12pm, 3pm | Join us here at STC for 30 minutes throughout the day to pray together.
Wednesday Evening, 7:30pm | Prayer and worship gatherings at St John's Park and Christ Church Stannington. Choose one and go along, whether this by yourself or with a Table.
Thursday, 8pm | Join us in prayer at St Stephen's Netherthorpe ahead of us starting a new worshipping community there!
Sunday, 7pm | Inviting our whole church family to join us at our 7pm Gathering with our church plants and grafts to celebrate Pentecost together.
‘Pray in the Spirit with all kinds of prayers and requests’
Prayer is at the centre of all we do at STC. We believe the apostle Paul’s encouragement to ‘keep alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people’ is our calling and our joy.
Join us to pray!
THE PRAYER SHED
THE PRAYER SHED
The Prayer Shed is located in a quiet space behind the main church building. It’s is our dedicated prayer space at STC.
It’s a place to meet with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, whether alone, with family, with friends or even with your Table. Up to 8 people can sit comfortably inside the Shed (more if you don’t mind a squeeze), and 12-15 people can be seated in the area around the Prayer Shed.
Please be encouraged to leave your ‘post-it’ prayers on the walls or write them on the displays, to add your prayers for those people, events and situations that we believe are on God’s heart.
