Students in Sheffield

Students are such a cherished and valued part of our church family. Whether you’re at University of Sheffield or Sheffield Hallam University, we believe that God has you in Sheffield for a reason. Being a student is a wonderfully unique stage of life and journeying through it in community can be transformative!

Whether you’ve never been to church before or are looking for a church to call home, you’re so welcome at STC.

Our 7pm gathering is particularly popular with students and young adults, plus there are lots of ways to build friendships and grow in faith throughout the week.

Most students arrive in Sheffield without knowing anyone in the city or at STC! Our church community is a great place to meet people, find friendship and be part of something bigger.

We're based in Crookes which is easily accessible from both university campuses and many student areas like Crookes, Crookesmoor, Broomhill, Ecclesall Road and Sheffield city centre.

What’s happening for students?

Sundays at 7pm (term-time)⛪️

Our main weekly gathering for students and young adults centred around worship, teaching, prayer and community.

Tables (Tuesdays)🍕

Our normal weekly rhythm is small, discipleship groups that meet in student houses. We call them Tables. They work through Bible studies, courses and other discipleship material together.

Student Nights (monthly)✨

Dedicated student gathering with more focused teaching, worship and space to build community together.

The Gathering (once a term)🙏

We occasionally join with students from churches across the city for a larger evening of worship and prayer.

Seasonal Events🎅🏼

At key moments in the year, Tables make way for bigger community events, usually on Tuesday nights. Think things like Freshers socials, our legendary Christmas Disco and summer Sports Day.

Student Weekend Away🚌

Every February, a key moment in the year where we head to Wydale Hall, Scarborough together and go deeper in community, discipleship and faith.
